Bonomi Acciai: Introducing Eng. Gianluigi Vianelli
He obtained his Diploma in Metallurgical Technology in 2001 from the “Benedetto Castelli” Technical Institute in Brescia.
After an initial experience in a metallographic laboratory at a cast iron foundry, he continued his studies and earned a Master’s Degree in Materials Engineering in 2009 from the University of Brescia.
He began his professional career in the strategic planning department of a company specialized in the production of pressure reactors for petroleum refining and petrochemical applications.
From 2011 to 2019, he worked in the Technical Office and R&D department of a leading cast iron foundry producing large-scale castings, focusing on research, design, and application development of materials.
From 2019 to 2025, he held the role of Technical Account Manager in a company specialized in the production of high-precision components for diesel injection systems.
In this role, he managed strategic suppliers, raw material procurement, and price list definition. He carried out Research & Development activities aimed at introducing new technologies and developing new products, working closely with public institutions and industrial partners to implement innovative surface coatings.
At the same time, he was responsible for materials and process quality, coordinating chemical and microstructural analyses, performing tests based on customer specifications, and preparing the required technical documentation.
He also managed technical complaints and conducted failure analysis and reverse engineering.
Today, he joins the Bonomi Acciai team as Head of Research & Development, with the task of leading the new BA Laboratory, the core of our innovation and advanced analysis initiatives.
