Industry and University Collaboration | Bonomi Acciai
At Bonomi Acciai, we believe that the value of a company is not measured solely by the quality of the materials supplied or by the technical expertise developed over time. We believe that being an industrial company also means taking responsibility for the local territory, future generations, and the education system.
With this spirit, through the Baccademy project, we promoted an initiative at ITIS C. Beretta in Gardone Val Trompia dedicated to fostering dialogue between the industrial sector and the University of Brescia.
This was a concrete orientation event involving fourth- and fifth-year students, teachers, and representatives of the local industrial community, with a clear objective: to build awareness, create connections, and strengthen the link between education and industry.
Dialogue Between Industry and University: A Necessary Exchange
During the meeting, Prof. Annalisa Pola, Professor of Metallurgy at the University of Brescia, presented the academic pathways available to students and highlighted the importance of an education built in continuous dialogue with industry.
The exchange between universities and the industrial world is essential to align skills, research, and production needs. For Bonomi Acciai, supporting this dialogue means contributing to the development of well-prepared and aware professionals capable of facing the challenges of modern industry.
Alongside the academic perspective, PhD candidate Elena Mingotti shared her personal academic and professional journey, emphasizing how important it is for students to have real reference points when making decisions about their future.
Speaking the Same Language: School and Industry
As highlighted during the meeting, companies and educational institutions must “speak the same language.” Sustainable industrial growth cannot exist without constant dialogue with the education system.
Through Baccademy, Bonomi Acciai helps create a structured platform for dialogue between companies, teachers, and students, enhancing technical skills and strengthening the productive identity of the local territory.
This vision is fully aligned with the principles expressed in our Code of Ethics: valuing people, social responsibility, and commitment to the sustainable growth of the system in which we operate.
From Dialogue to Concrete Experience
The initiative does not end with a single meeting.
The journey will continue with a joint technical project involving ITIS Beretta and local companies – ISVAL, Bonomi Acciai, and ECOTRE – to develop a real manufacturing project.
Students will take part in a hands-on experience, working on an industrial component and applying skills related to mechanical processing and hot stamping.
For Bonomi Acciai, being an industrial company also means this: transforming dialogue into concrete opportunities, contributing to the education of new generations, and strengthening the local production system.
Alongside our daily commitment to supplying high-performance special steels and advanced technical solutions, we continue to invest in industrial culture, education, and territorial responsibility.
Because the competitiveness of a supply chain begins first and foremost with people.
We believe competitiveness starts with people and skills.
