School–industry collaboration: the Baccademy project with Bonomi Acciai

At Bonomi Acciai, we believe that school–industry collaboration is a fundamental element for generating value, not only in the quality of materials or technical expertise, but also in the growth of the local area and future generations.

For this reason, through the Baccademy project – developed together with local partners and with the communication support of Brescia Comunica – we have continued the path started with the students of ITIS C. Beretta in Gardone Val Trompia, transforming an initial orientation moment into a concrete experience of collaboration between school and industry.

This led to the creation of a cycle of five meetings that actively involved students in a structured program, designed to bring them closer to the production world and its real dynamics.

The project, carried out in collaboration with ISVAL S.p.A. and Ecotre Valente Srl, guided students through a progressive experience, positioning itself as a concrete example of school–industry collaboration applied to a real production context.

Through the direct contribution of the companies involved, students were able to explore not only the technical aspects of the production process, but also organizational dynamics and the dialogue between schools and companies, a key element in understanding how the industrial system works.

The interaction with professionals represented a central step: an opportunity to see how different skills – from design to quality, up to process management – integrate within a complex production system.

The initiative does not end with a single meeting.

For Bonomi Acciai, taking part in initiatives like this means concretely interpreting its role within the local area, contributing to the education of new generations and strengthening school–industry collaboration as a strategic lever for the development of the production system.

The value of the project also emerges from a business perspective: direct interaction with students makes it possible to connect with future professionals, creating a first point of contact with the world of work and strengthening the relationship between schools and companies with a view to shared growth.

This vision is consistent with the principles that guide our activities: social responsibility, people development, and commitment to the sustainable growth of the local production system.

One of the most significant aspects of the project was the strong involvement of students, who demonstrated interest, curiosity, and the ability to engage with complex topics, actively entering the dynamics of school–industry collaboration.

The experience made it clearer how a company works and the role of different areas – technical, organizational, and managerial – within the production process, highlighting the concrete value of the dialogue between schools and companies.

At the same time, it helped make the link between education and future careers more tangible, providing useful tools to support more informed decision-making.

The cycle of meetings represents a concrete example of school–industry collaboration, showing how the dialogue between education and industry can translate into an effective and high-value learning experience.

Through Baccademy, Bonomi Acciai continues to invest in building an ecosystem where education, industry, and the local area interact in a structured way, strengthening the relationship between schools and companies and generating shared benefits.
